Rest easy Mr. President. Nothing to see here. Just higher taxes on approximately 77% of households. By all means, please enjoy your vacation.
HONOLULU (AP) — President Barack Obama is back in Hawaii for vacation after a tense, end-of-the-new-year standoff with Congress over the fiscal cliff. The president arrived early Wednesday morning, local time, after an overnight flight aboard Air Force One. He was rejoining his family for a holiday break after having returned to Washington following Christmas to deal with the unfinished business that threatened to throw the economy back into recession.
When Stacy McCain called this whole mess ‘fiscal cliff kabuki‘, he wasn’t kidding. What a joke.
As always, my friend Dan Bongino nails it with this statement.
I am profoundly disappointed that we have reached the point where hiking small business and income taxes is considered a political winner.
