Lots of buzz today regarding the Hagel nomination.
(Atlas Shrugs) The Washington Free Beacon is reporting that Iran’s Press TV praises Chuck Hagel. How is it possible in the 21st century that a Jew-hater like Hagel would be named Secretary if Defense? Obama.
Back in early December, I posted on Obama’s pick for Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel. Much handwringing and chatter followed from Obama’s Jews, as if this was unexpected.
Geller, right again. And again. And again.
That my friends, is why I love me some Pamela Geller, and can’t wait to hear her speak at the MDCAN Turning the Tides 2013 conference this Saturday! If you’re in the Maryland area, it’s not to late to get tickets. Go here for more information.
Back to Hagel. It didn’t take long at all for this pro-Israel group to take action:
The Emergency Committee for Israel (ECI), a pro-Israel group, has purchased www.ChuckHagel.com to warn against President Obama’s nomination of former Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel (Neb.) for Defense secretary.
Many are curious as to Obama’s real motivation for nominating Hagel. Is this to appease moderate Republican’s? Certainly, diehard conservatives aren’t impressed by the choice. Who is Chuck Hagel? This article does a great job of summarizing some of Hagel’s qualifications.
I certainly commend Sen. Hagel and thank him for his service to our fine country, but his track records gives some fellow Republicans pause.
“Senator Hagel’s incendiary views of Israel are only the tip of the iceberg. On Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran and defense spending, Hagel’s reported views call into question his judgment about the most important matters facing our national security. Taken together, Hagel’s views represent a call for a broad retreat from the preeminent role America has played, and must continue to play, in the world during a period of profound tumult and instability,” Cantor, R-Va., wrote.
Finally, this post would not be complete without the insight of one of my favorite people, Stacy McCain:
Superficial sarcasm is arguably unfair: Accusing Chuck Hagel of “hating” homosexuals or Jews because of policy disagreements? However . . .
Since when did the Left give a damn about fairness in politics?
