Yesterday I posted my amazing news that I secured media credentials for CPAC 2013. I’m overjoyed and overwhelmed with gratitude! The list of speakers is phenomenal and there will be several excellent and informative training sessions. It is my sincere hope that I’ll be able to attend all three days, but this is the purpose of this post, I can’t do that without your help.
When I started this blog, I did a lot of research, and visited other blogs to get ideas. I noticed several of them had donation buttons, and every now and then, you’d read of a plea to ‘hit the tip jar’. I decided against having a tip jar of my own up until now, because although I had no problem donating to my blogging colleagues, and have done so several times, I just didn’t want to feel like I was harassing folks.
With that said, the bottom line is, it does cost money to maintain a website, and I ‘graduated’ to my own URL and host in November of last year. Several of us also make it a point to travel to cover various events and that incurs costs as well. For CPAC, there will be a myriad of costs, hotel, food, gas, and this year, unfortunately they can’t supply wifi to everyone, so that’s something additional as well.
I’m going to be there, come hell or high water, but the trip will be much easier and less stressful with some assistance, so if you’re so inclined, and would like to help support my coverage of this awesome event, please, hit the tip jar (the donate button on the upper right of the website).
