(The Hill) Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) confirmed Thursday that she will seek the chairmanship of the Senate Budget Committee next year but told The Hill that she cannot commit to doing a budget.
This opens up the possibility that Senate Democrats will avoiding passing a budget resolution for the fourth year in a row.
So let me make sure I understand this. You would like to seek chairmanship of the Senate BUDGET Comittee, but cannot commit to doing a BUDGET?? Are we in the Twilight Zone?
Oy vey….moving on, in the same article, I also completely agree with Smitty’s assessment of Ron Paul’s speech. Fantastic, but not necessarily feasible.
So how do we move forward from here folks? Are we going to get anything accomplished in the next two years? Are you as hyper focused now on the 2014 races as I am? If not, WAKE UP, get in the game! We have work to do!
